
Mr. Owiny Ronald joined the National Groundnut Improvement Program in November 2018 as a Research Associate. He coordinates National Groundnut Breeding activities. He rose to the top and was appointed the Team Leader for Breeding Management System (BMS), a cloud database for all breeding data for all the mandatory crops (groundnut, sorghum, finger millet, green gram, sesame, sunflower, and cotton) the National Semi-Arid Resources Research Institute (NaSARRI), Serere. Uganda. He represents the International Center for Wheat and Maize Improvement (CIMMYT) as a trainer for Costing of Breeding Operations for the National Semi-Arid Resources Research Institute (NaSARRI), Serere. Uganda.
He is currently pursuing Masters of Science in Applied Tropical Entomology and Parasitology at Gulu University, Uganda.
